Quick Update

Just wanted to ask for your prayers regarding Nolan. We went to the doctor yesterday and he is a little jaundiced. They ordered a belli (not sure I am spelling that correctly) blanket for him that he is supposed to wear until his bloodwork comes back normal. We are having that checked tomorrow. He's doing real well with the blanket, so we are expecting that he will check out ok tomorrow. Thanks for your prayers. Here are a few more pics. Megan

The last few days...

Brandon, Nolan and I arrived home around 1am Saturday morning. Of course, we had a horrible night:) The girls were so pumped to see him on the morning. Brandon has been on Aubrey and Adelynne duty, along with preparing meals, cleaning up and so on. I have been confined to figuring out the nursing and pumping (if I am not doing one, I am doing the other) as well as figuring out how to soothe a seemingly fussy baby thus far. Today, however, we might have turned a corner as he has slept without being held 3 times! That's awesome, as Brandon and I have been spliting the nights in the recliner holding him! Boy are we pooped.

My mom and dad came down today to help with the girls (Brandon had to work) and that was a great relief and break! Thanks mom and dad! They went to Panera for soup (Aubrey's fav) and then after nap, they went to the water park here in Plainfield. They were hungry and tired when they got home.

Anyway, that's all I have to report. Here are a few new pics. Megan

More Pictures

The girls got to meet their little bro today. Adelynne just said, "Baby," repeatedly and tried to lovingly, aggressively, pat and rub him. Aubrey was super excited and just wanted to hold him. She kissed all over him and sang him a number of sweet songs while he was in her lap.

He's here!

After a long day of labor, Nolan Levi arrived at 10:25 pm on Wednesday, June 18th. By far our smallest baby weighing in at 6 lbs, 11 oz, and 19 in long. He's got dark hair just like Adelynne did when she was born, and we aren't real sure who he looks like yet. He was sunnyside up for most of delivery (turned face down at the last minute), so he's got a good sized bruise on his head. Other than that, he's great. So am I, just tired. Very much looking forward to seeing the girls in the morning. Megan

Aubrey got a new apron

Aubrey loves to bake! So, we went and got her an apron and some iron on decals to decorate the apron. You can't really tell from the picture, but the apron has her name on it and a princess crown. Father's Day morning, she and I made Brandon muffins for breakfast and she got to wear her apron...she was pumped.

New Veggie Shirts!

So, mommy got these t-shirts for $4 at Family Christian Store this weekend. The girls loved them, especially Adie. She would point and say, "bob," as if we didn't already know. :) Cute!

The plan is....

We are headed to Home Hospital in Lafayette to be induced tomorrow at 7:30am. The doctor checked me yesterday and my cervix was very thin and I was dialated a cm. We would appreciate your prayers. Megan

Kids say the funniest things!

So this morning we were all laying on the bed singing and talking. Aubrey asked how many bedtimes until Nolan gets here, and we told her probably 6. I asked her if she wanted to hold him when he comes and she said, "yes." She then said, "and change his diapers too, but people keep telling me he's going to pee on me!" She said this with a puzzled look on her face. So, we had a very short conversation about the difference between her privates and Nolan's. She was completely uninterested. Thank you Lord for that!
I love her wit and sense of humor!

What was I thinking...

Today is just one of those days where I am asking myself, "What was I thinking"? I am so far past exhaustion, my belly is so tight and uncomfortable, I just want to sit all day (kind of hard with the girls), but yet I can't sleep. I am wondering why I ever agreed to this. Don't get me wrong, I so love this little boy and can't wait to see him, but why does it have to be so horrible at the end? My parents had the girls most of Monday and Tuesday and it was a great break. I thought the rest would give me just enough "umph" to get me thru until next Wednesday, but it doesn't really even feel like they were gone. Pray for me that I can "buck up" enough to make it thru this week without being to grouchy:)!

Ever Wonder?

Have you ever wondered what the girls look like first thing in the morning? Well, wonder no longer, here's the answer to your ponderings. :)

Cookie Monster...

Ok, so I realize it's cereal, but we are now calling Adelynne the cookie monster. She dumped an entire box of cereal all over the floor, then sat down and started eating. When she heard the "beep" from the camera turning on though, she was more than willing to look up and say, "cheese." :)

Biking with daddy

For Brandon's birthday, both sets of parents purchased a bike for him. We purchased a bike trailer and that has been the most exciting thing for the girls. Brandon, on multiple occasions has ridden them down to the park here in Plainfield and they've played. This past Saturday he packed us all a lunch and we had a picnic in the Friendship Gardens (one of the many parks here in Plainfield), and then they rode (mommy drove!) down the bike trails to a park with swings and such. Here are a few pictures from our outing.

He'll be here soon...

Hello all,
Had a Doctor's appointment on Monday and everything is looking good. I am still measuring ahead and so Dr. Knutson scheduled an induction for June 18th (1 week early) at 7:30 am. So, providing that he doesn't come before then (and he'd better not:), Nolan Levi will arrive that day. I am very much looking forward to an end in sight, although, I am very nervous at the same time!
That's all for now,
Megan
