I love being her mommy

The other day right after braiding Aubrey's hair, she threw her arms around me and said, "you're the best mommy ever." God's blessings are amazing when we are obedient. Moments like that I know that I'm truely in the right place at the exact right time...right where God wants me...as a mommy, raising a new generation for Him!

Weekend of Fun!

This past weekend was a ton of fun! We started out Saturday morning hanging out with Brandon's parents and our niece and nephew. We just visited while the kids played. Our niece Autumn is 10 months old She's real loud and a fun little girl. She fits in perfectly with our girls :)

That afternoon we headed to Mulberry for my grandpa's 90th birthday. He looked great and was doing really well. That for which we are very thankful. We rented a banquet room at the nursing home and ate snackie foods and cake while all the great grandkids played together. The kids had a awesome time, and it was so nice visiting with family we haven't seen in a while.

My grandpa asked Nolan how in the world was he dealing with life in this family of girls:)

After the party we headed to the hotel where my family was staying and ate Arni's and the kids were able to swim. It was a jam packed day and the kids were pooped. :)

Sunday we worshiped at our "Lafayette church" (that's what Aubrey calls it). It was nice to be there and see old friends. Sunday afternoon we spent at my mom and dads relaxing. Brandon and I were even able to take a bike ride together...alone! :)

Then came "meltdown Monday" as I call it. Grouchy, whiney, stressed out kids. They went to bed at 7:30 pm last night:) Today should be a great day!

Look!, I've got a ponytail!

One way you know your little girl is growing up is when her hair is long enough to put into a FULL ponytail! Our sweet little Adie is 20 months old this month.

Handsome Boy

Nolan's appointment

Some of you know this and some of you don't, but Nolan was born with a hidden "we we." I say "we we" because I don't like the "P" word:) Anyway, it's something Brandon and I had kind-of forgotten about b/c it's not completely hidden. Our AWESOME pediatrician set us up with an AWESOME pediatric urologist. We met with him on Monday and he laid all our fears to rest. Basically it's a totally common thing. He said that he does 200 of these surgeries a year. I asked what causes it and he said, "The same thing that makes me 6' 1", it's just how Brandon and my genes came together. I felt so much better about that, b/c honestly, I thought it was something I may have done (or not done) during pregnancy. Brandon said that was dumb. Anyway, he said we would never even know that he had the surgery when he's older. It will be fully functional (wink wink) and it will look totally normal (a huge sigh from his momma). Along with pulling the rest of "it" down, he will also be circumcised at this time. The surgery is scheduled for December 16th (Adie's birthday). I can't even tell you how very thankful we are for the good news and for the wonderful doctors we've been put in contact with. We would appreciate your continued prayers for Brandon and I, because even though this surgery is simple and common, we don't like the thought of one of our kids having surgery. Thanks! Megan:) GOD IS GOOD!...ALL THE TIME!

Just a few pics

We just love this boy!

Nolan Video

It is a rare occasion that Nolan gets the opportunity to chill out on his tummy on the Gemini because it takes two adults to keep the girls from mauling him. With that, we filmed this event.

And so it begins

Well, yesterday was Brandon's first day back to school for the teachers (students first day is tomorrow), and thus, back to reality for the Paschals. While he worked quite a bit over the summer mowing, teaching is a lot less flexible (hours wise), and it's pointless to pray for rain:) Although I already miss him, I was somewhat ready for this to happen. For one, it's inevitable, and two, the kids and I needed some normalcy and routine. When daddy is home, it's always fun time, even if he's working on a project. We were in need of some regularity and balance. And so, on our first day, we all loaded up and headed to CVS for toilet paper. The trip was uneventful...that for which I am thankful. The girls and I played outside and read books in the hammock most of the afternoon until it was time to come in and eat supper.

We spent most of this past weekend just playing outside and resting in anticipation of the first week of school. On Saturday I spent most of the day in the kitchen making 5 quarts of applesauce and freezing 9 quarts of peaches (pic below). What a pain!, but oh so yummy. Sunday was church and naps, followed by flying the Dora kite down at Hummel park.

Brandon and I have been reminded of God's goodness and faithfulness in the past few weeks. Some really tangible examples and some that can't even be explained in words, but we are so thankful for this renewing of our faith in what He can do. Please pray for a continued desire on our part to look to Him FIRST for ALL things.

Mommy has a JOB! Well, sort of. For the last four years, we have prayed that if it was the Lord's will for me to return to work that He would make that obvious and would provide and opportunity. Brandon's boss with the mowing business was in need of someone to do his bookeeping. So, I am spending about 10-15 hours a month doing this (from home). It's not a lot, but every little bit helps. One way God has proved Himself faithful:)

Nolan is growing A LOT these days. He's developing a double chin and we are starting to see some rolls on his legs. He's responded to me talking to him with a gurgle a few time and I just can't keep my lips off him. What a sweetie. Who knew I could love 3 kids as much as I do.

Ok, I think that is enough for now. Megan :)
