He is Mighty to Save
I've begun writing our Christmas letter recently. I never used to write a letter, but being far from family and most of our friends, I thought I would write one this year. In trying to scan through this past year in my head, I've been reminded of how hard this year has been for our family, and even still is. In remembering the trials we've faced and are still facing, I am also reminded of God's love, provision and mercy He's bestowed on us. With each trial, bad day, and worry, I can give an example of God's grace and compassion. I am posting a website for you to view of a song that brings me so much joy and comfort. God has really put this song in my head the last week, so much so, I heard Brandon singing it the other day:) The video isn't what I want you to see, but rather listen to the song and lyrics.

Brandon and I were also greatly encouraged in the Word yesterday. A sermon coming from Psalm 145. Isn't the book of Psalms a great book for the weary? I would like to share a few versus that spoke to me.
Psalm 145:3 "Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom."
Psalm 145:13-14 "The Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made. The Lord upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down."
Psalm 145:18-19 "The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.

What are we going to do with her? Part 3
Something happened today that reminded me of something from my childhood...
When I was in kindergarten or 1st grade (I don't remember which), we lived in Warsaw. Like most kids, I took a lunch to school. I remember being so bored with the options in my sack because my mom was cautious about what we ate (I am VERY thankful for that now)...we didn't have soda often, twinkies, ding dongs, or...FRUIT ROLL UPS. There was a little girl who sat next to me one day at lunch and she had...a FRUIT ROLL UP! Oh, boy, did it look good! I politely asked her if I could have it, and she politely said, "no." Shortly thereafter, she got up to get a napkin or something, and I decided that I really wanted that FRUIT ROLL UP. So, I very quickly ingested it before she returned. Ahhh, that tasted good!!! When she returned, she was not happy, and that little brat told on me:)
Today as the girls sat at the table with their FRUIT SNACKS (almost as good as FRUIT ROLL UPS!)goldfish, and milk, Aubrey started to scream and cry. I ran over there to find out that while Aubrey drank her milk, Adelynne decided to sneak one of Aubrey's FRUIT SNACKS away and eat it. And so, history repeats itself!

What are we gonna do with her? Part 2
Well, for those of you who are aware of the Vaseline story (if you're not, see blog post below), boy have I got one even better. I caught her this morning with...are you ready...VICKS!!!!!!!! It was all over her hands, cheeks and feet. I didn't get a picture because I was afraid of what that much vicks in weird places would do to her skin. She looked at me, pleased, and said, "roshun." (That's lotion by the way!) Then she said, "a hot." No, really? Anyway, she's all cleaned up and seems to be fine. Hopefully I can get the house opened up as it gets warmer today since my house smells like VICKS vaporub, yuck!
She is for sale! Any takers? (I'm kidding by the way, the sick thing is...I'd miss her messes:)
